The National Library of Brasilia opened the exhibition "Macau is a Showcase" to the public on the 6th May, 51 Photographs, a portrait of the cultural manifestations of the eastern ans western traditions with all their colours, exhuberance and exotism in the streets of Macau, surprising the world, in this extraordinary exhibition, organized by the International institute of Macau, together with the Macau's Photographic Association.
The exhibition continues its path in Brazilian lands and, it has already visited São Paulo, Recife and Rio de Janeiro, since 2010.
The National Library of Brasilia, although a young organisation, has been thought in the 60s, included in a program for the administrative capital's cultural "ensemble". Open to the public since 2008, it received about 170.000 people in 2009, and the number grew up to over 200.000 in 2010.
This is another important step in IIM's mission, towards showing Macau to the world, as a cultural centre between the eastern and the western dimensions.
