On January 18th, the photo book titled “Portraits of Luso-Asians of India,” authored by João Palla Martins, was launched. The book features texts from Professor Rosa Maria Perez, from the Department of Anthropology at ICSTE – University of Lisbon Institute, and Delfim Correia da Silva, the Director of the Portuguese Language Centre at Camões Institute in Goa. It contains approximately 100 pictures of faces captured by the author from the Luso-descendant communities of India.

In 2019, two exhibitions on this theme were held at the galleries of the University of Aveiro, as part of the II International Congress “Intercultural Dialogues Portugal-China”, and at the University of Macau. Since 2017, architect João Palla Martins has been traveling to various countries, photographing the faces of Luso-Asian communities, aiming to provide insight into their unique physiognomies. The photos are accompanied by theoretical or scientific essays by guest authors, exploring topics such as identity, miscegenation, and memory.
